Brian Jansen
President
Brian is a retired Human Resource leader with over 30 years of experience in the world of retail, real estate, and litigation support. He's an avid theatergoer who fell in love with live performances when he was a child. He's proud to have been a supporter of Uptown Players since the beginning. He is looking forward to many years of ongoing growth and success for Uptown Players and more amazing shows.
Kate Newman
Vice President
Kate is a retired CPA who also serves our community as President of the Resource Center Board of Directors, Development Vice-Chair of TACA’s Board of Directors, and the Advocacy Co-Chair for the Steering Committee of the United Way's Women of Tocqueville. Kate is an ally strongly committed to supporting the LGBTQ community in the fight for equal rights
Jeff Falin
Treasurer
Jeff Falin is a CPA with a BS in Accounting and an MS in Electrical Engineering. He has worked at Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX since 2000. He became a patron of Uptown Players in 2001 and started volunteering for the theater's finance committee in 2010. In addition to his professional and volunteer career, he has been a singing member of Turtle Creek Chorale for 5 years.

Craig Lynch
Founder & Executive Producer
Craig has dedicated his life to the arts and entertainment industry. Born and raised in Duncanville, Texas, he pursued his education at Baylor University and later at the University of Texas at Arlington. Craig is a co-founder of Uptown Players and serves as the Marketing Director. In addition to his experience in the marketing industry, Craig has acted and sung on local stages, including Six Flags over Texas, and performed with the Baylor Men's Chorus at Carnegie Hall.
Jeff Rane
Founder & Executive Producer
Jeff Rane began his acting career in high school and attended Southern Methodist University with a minor in music and a major in Business Administration. After SMU, Jeff worked for many years at American Airlines as a Manager in their Revenue Management Department while acting at many Metroplex theatres. In 2001, he and Craig Lynch formed Uptown Players. In 2016, Jeff retired from the world of business with American Airlines to focus all his time on Uptown Players.
Nancy Rubin
Board Member & Patron Services Manager
As a native New Yorker, theater is in Nancy’s blood! She and her husband Ron moved to Dallas in 1998 and Nancy soon became one of the founders of the Uptown Players Guild and managed the cadre of volunteers. She then transitioned into a staff position as Box Office and Patron Services Manager and co-chair of the annual Fundraiser Broadway Our Way. Her close relationship with the patrons has been invaluable in growing our very dedicated audience base.
Phillip Hearne
Board Member
Phillip Hearne has been involved with Uptown Players since its inception, contributing in various roles over the years. He holds a B.A. degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and an M.Ed. from the University of North Texas. As a native of Louisiana, Phillip has brought his passion for education to public schools, where he taught for over four decades before retiring as an esteemed educator. Currently, he substitutes at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts. You'll often find Phillip behind the bar at Kalita, and sometimes, sharp eyes will catch him making cameo appearances in productions.
Tri McBath
Board Member.
Tri is the Director of Marketing for Prism Health North Texas (PHNTX), a health service in our community dedicated to serving the LGBTQIA+ community by ensuring access and inclusion. Prior to his role at PHNTX, he served as the Director of Marketing for Turtle Creek Chorale (TCC) and was a singing member of TCC for over ten years.
Doug Dorey

Doug is a retired business owner with over 40 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. He has lived and worked in the Uptown neighborhood before it was even called Uptown! He has been a patron of Uptown Players since the beginning and looks forward to the next stage in the organization's growth and success
