		Broadway Our Way - Uptown Divas Bonus Show #1 Directed by Andi Allen January 9-18, 2009 Uptown Players' fundraiser, light-heartedly pits the men against the women to determine who the true Divas of the Dallas stage really are. The evening features selections from your favorite Broadway shows both past and present, done with an Uptown Players twist! In all of their efforts, they are helped, hindered, and enlightened by a maverick English teacher who seeks to broaden their horizons, and by a young history teacher who questions the methods of their schooling. In The History Boys, Alan Bennett raises – with gentle wit and pitch-perfect command of character – not only universal questions about the nature of history and how it is taught, but also questions about the purpose of education today. 		*Mommie Queerest* - Bonus Show #2 at the Rose Room, S4 Starring - Coy Covington By Jamie Morris Directed by Andi Allen May 29 – June 28 Uptown Players will present a special bonus to the 2009 season from Jamie Morris, the creator of The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode Mommie Queerest, featuring an all-male cast of four, tells the now-famous story of movie star Joan Crawford and her tumultuous relationship with adopted daughter Christina. This hilarious parody of the film classic "Mommie Dearest" revisits the film's most notorious and beloved scenes, from the infamous wire coat hanger episode to the chilling command, "Tina!
